Javanroud
is one of the cities of Kermanshah province, which is bounded by Paveh city
from the north and west, Islamabad Gharb and Sarpol Zahab cities from the
south, and Marivan city from the east.
The
center of this city is the city of Javanrud.
The language
of the people of Javanrud is one of the branches of the Surani Kurdish language
called Jafi, and the religion of the people of Javanrud is Sunni Shafi'i.
The
border market of the city is the main source of income for the people of this
city
Other sources
of income for the people of this country are agriculture, animal husbandry and
providing municipal services
According
to the 2006 census, the city of Javanroud has a population of 62,259 people.
This city has two parts, namely, Central and Javanrud, and six districts
Javanroud
city, the center of Japanroud county, is located seventy-nine kilometers
northwest of Kermanshah city, and its height is 1300 meters above sea level.

The
climate of Javanrud is mountainous، The wet western currents and proper rainfall
and the presence of high altitudes and mountains cover the entire region
The
weather is moderate in summer and cold in winter. The cold weather usually
starts from December and continues until the end of March. There is a lot of
precipitation in the Javanroud area and it is snow in the high areas. It is
possible that the western and southeastern areas of Javanrood are noticeably
warmer than other areas. There are three important winds in Javanrood city: the
west wind, the north wind, and the Zelan wind.
Javanroud
city has many seasonal and permanent rivers, the most important of which are
Sefidberg River and Leila River. All the rivers of the city are considered part
of the foreign catchment area because they all eventually leave the country and
flow into the Tigris River.

Sefid Barg river: This river originates from the mountains in the southeast of
Paveh, one of its branches is the Khalfieh River, one of the rivers flowing in
Paveh city, which is mixed with the eastern rivers in Nokhas village, Mansour
Aghaei district, and enters Sharvineh district of Javanrud city under the name
of Sefid Barg. This river passes through the northern valley of Garde-Bargir
mountain and flows westward and passes by Sefidberg village in Shervineh
village and finally flows down to the Leila river in the northwest of Sorkheban
village.
II) Leila
River: The Laila River originates from the northern slope of Band Gas Mountain
in Daulat Abad village and faces north from the villages behind Shaingan, Deh
Resh and Siaran from Daulat Abad and Bazan villages. In the north-west of the
villages of Sorekh Ban, the lower river flows with Sefidberg water, then it
flows to the northwest and enters Kalash village.

A)
Genghis Khan Castle: It is a castle in the north of the city and overlooking
Helaniyeh, which survived from the time of the Mongol conquest and was the
command center of the Mongol troops in this area. 13:29

Alani Castle and Naqara Khan: It is located in front of Genghis Khan Hill and
in the eastern part of Helaniyeh Park.
C) Javanroud Tower: It is also called
the old castle, and now the new Grand Mosque of Javanrood is built on it.

Dovan Castle: It is also called Bani Tuan, which is located three kilometers
from Javanroud on the road of Javanroud-Ravansar, behind the village of Safi
Abad. According to a story, this castle had 60 shops, alleys and bazaars at its
time.
k) Safiuddin Khan Hill: It is located in the village of Safi Abad, 2 km
from the city, on the Javanroud-Ravansar road.
